NILPA pH− dose

How much pH− to add to the tank — dose depends on KH (0.5 or 2 mL / 10 L per pH step).

For comparable readings over time and with this calculator, keep conditions consistent:

  • KH — more stable than pH; test before a water change or 15–30 min after mixing.
  • pH — test at the same time of day; values differ before and after CO₂ injection.

Compare readings taken at the same time of day under similar conditions (CO₂, feeding).

pH− dose

0.60 мл

-0,3 pH · Expected effect of one dose per instructions: ≈0.2–0.3 pH (basis: 0.5 mL / 10 L when KH < 6°)

KH < 6: мл pH− = V·(pHnow − pHgoal)·0,2
KH ≥ 6: мл pH− = V·(pHnow − pHgoal)·0,8

Coefficients from instructions: 0.5 mL or 2 mL per 10 L per 0.2–0.3 pH step (nominal 0.25). No more than 0.5 pH per 12 h. pH− instructions
