NILPA KH+ dose

How much KH+ to add to replacement water or a batch — per NILPA instructions (5 mL / 40 L per +1° KH).

For comparable readings over time and with this calculator, keep conditions consistent:

  • KH — more stable than pH; test before a water change or 15–30 min after mixing.
  • KH buffers pH; sudden KH shifts are riskier than gradual ones — avoid forced hardness swings.
KH+ dose

6.50 мл

Replacement KH: 13,00 °dKH

KHrepl = (T·KHgoal − (T − W)·KHtank) / W
мл KH+ = W·(KHrepl − KHsrc) / 8
T
tank volume, L
W
volume changed in one partial change, L
KHtank
current tank KH, °dKH
KHgoal
target KH after the change, °dKH
KHsrc
replacement KH before KH+, °dKH
NILPA: 5 mL / 40 L per Δ 1° ⇒ mL = V·Δ/8. No more than 2–2.5° KH per 12 h. KH+ instructions
